Cub Scout Religious Award

If anyone is interested in earning the Religious Award, please contact Cubmaster Mike Puleo to sign up as soon as possible.  This award can be earned by any rank scout, and can be a requirement for Bears and Webelos.  Upon completion of requirements, the pin will be awarded at Scout Sunday Mass in February.

October Pack Meetings

The next Pack Meeting will be our annual Halloween Party.  Feel free to wear a costume or your Class A uniform.  Absolutely no weapons!

All popcorn orders (with full payment) are due.

A few Pack Meeting reminders to parents:

  • Always park behind the church.  CCD is going on at the same time and you don’t want to get caught up in their parking in the front lot.
  • Scouts should be in Class A uniforms.
  • Everyone is responsible for clean-up after meetings, so don’t forget to lend a hand.
  • Siblings and other family members are always welcome at regular Pack Meetings.  There may be some restrictions during special meetings such as the Blue and Gold Banquet.
  • Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children – scouts included – during the meetings.

Battleship Cove Sleepover

Final payment for the Battleship sleepover on December 13/14 is due at the October Pack Meeting. The updated cost is $45 per person.  If you have already paid at the originally quoted higher rate, you will be given a refund.  Please stop by the Treasurers Table at the next pack meeting.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Help Wanted

The Pack 49 Committee is in need of two very important members!

Awards Coordinator – You will maintain records of awards received and purchase and prepare awards for presentation.  According to our current Coordinator, it takes about 2 hours per month and a trip to the Scout Store.

Webmaster – Updates will take roughly 30 minutes per month.  You will need to have some HTML and CSS knowledge, as well as Dreamweaver or Javascript.

The wonderful parents who take over these roles will begin training immediately and take over completely by March.  If you have questions about these jobs or would like to volunteer, please contact Committee Chairman Karen Denis.

All parents are welcome to participate in our monthly committee meetings.  We meet at the Parish Center at 6:30 pm one Sunday per month.

Popcorn 2008

Popcorn orders are due back at the October Pack Meeting. Internet sales are available; you need to contact Rob Dugan for your internet key.

Show and Sells are October 18th and the 25th.  We have two locations, Walgreen's on the corner of South and Main St. and the Citizens bank in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  We will be at both locations on both days. Hours will be from 9am to 12pm. Credit for popcorn sales will be divided evenly among all the scouts that were there that day.  If you haven’t signed up to sell but would like to, please contact Rob. There will be one top seller prize of $150.00.

Popcorn pick up will be in early December.  All scouts will need to pick up their orders on pick up day.
