Fishing Derby

Eighteen scouts, along with moms, dads, granddads and siblings participated in this year’s Fishing Derby on a gorgeous Sunday morning at Horn Pond in Woburn.  The fish were biting quickly, and by the time we were done, about 30 fish had been caught.

The following scouts won trophies:

  • Ryan Casino – Biggest Fish
  • Bradley Denis – Most Fish
  • Jeffrey Anderson – Smallest Fish

Thanks to Karen Richardson for running this event.

Pack Satisfaction Survey

Thank you to all the parents who took the time to complete our survey during the cookout.  Your comments and suggestions are appreciated!  Pack leadership will be reviewing all comments at our August Committee meeting, and we will let you know of any action we take based on suggestions from you.

School's Out Cookout

This year’s cookout was a big success, despite the rain!  Thank you to all the parents who worked hard to bring another great Cookout to the Pack:  Marsha and Dave Booth, Rich and Jen Callahan, Dan Carter, Lee Denis, Rob Dugan, Charity and Nathan Legvold, Cheryl Romano, Carolyn Judge, John Moulaison, Rob Dugan, Heidi and Keith Brooks, Nilesh Gandhi, Mark and Melanie Wescott, Pat and Neve Power, Mike Ippolito and numerous other parents who jumped in.

As with almost any event, we find ourselves with some “left behinds”.  If you are missing a serving bowl or spoon, please let us know.

Greater Lowell District Summer Day Camp

Information and forms for the Great Lowell District Summer Day Cub Scout Day Camp are available at the Yankee Clipper Council website.  Camp will be August 18–22 at the Paul Center in Chelmsford from 9am to 4pm. Registration fee is $165. Camp uniforms (t-shirts) are provided as part of the registration fee.

Summertime Events

Throughout the summer, you will receive flyers (via e-mail) regarding the Bike Hike on July 15, the Movie Night on July 22 and the Scout Olympics on August 6.  We will also contact you via email regarding when Spinners tickets become available, and to give you more information regarding the fall registration.

For any scout who is interested in earning the Summertime Award, remember that you must attend at least one pack-specified event during each of the summer months.  The events are the Bike Hike or Movie Night for July and the Scout Olympics or Spinners game for August.  (The June events were the Fishing Derby or the Cookout.)
