October 2006 Pack Announcements

 

Next Pack Meeting: Monday, November 27th, 6:15pm, Lower Church. We will be watching a presentation by ÒEyes on OwlsÓ. Please note the earlier start time so that awards can be given out prior to the presentation which will start promptly at 6:30pm. We will also be having our uniform inspection at this meeting so arriving early in your class ÔAÕ uniform will be a great help to your den leaders!

 

Next Committee Meeting: Sunday, November 5th, 6:30pm, Parish Center. We welcome all adult members of our pack to come and share their ideas and help us plan upcoming pack events. Please consider joining us and keep up-to-date on pack activities.

 

U.S.S. Massachusetts Battleship Sleepover: Located at Battleship Cove, New Bedford, MA, Saturday/Sunday, November 25/26. Cost is $45.00 per person. A parent/guardian must attend with their scout. Siblings over 6 years old are also welcome to attend. Payment is due in full tonight.

 

Service Project: We will be raking leaves at St. WilliamÕs Church at 8:00am on Sunday, November 5, 2006. Adults and scouts are needed. Please bring your own rake and gloves.

 

Religious Awards: Any scout interested in earning the Catholic religious medals, Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei, please see Maureen Montecalvo or Mike Puleo to sign up. Deacon Bill would like to get started ASAP. There are religious medals for all faiths so anyone interested in any other medals, please let us know.

 

Popcorn Fundraiser: We hope youÕre all out selling and earning great prizes! Orders and money are due to JoAnn Brace by November 26th. Popcorn will be ready for pickup on December 9th.

 

Pack T-Shirts & Sweatshirts: We will be placing an order for pack t-shirts & sweatshirts this week. Please place your order at the TreasurerÕs Table if you are interested.

 

2006 Scout Charity: Each year our pack selects a charity to support during the holidays. This year we will be supporting Deacon Bill EmersonÕs work at the Billerica House of Correction by purchasing presents for the children of the prisoners. Please consider making a present donation and showing your scouting spirit. There is a separate flyer with further details. Thank you.

Open Positions: We are currently looking for a new Committee Chairperson and Assistant Cubmaster. Brief job descriptions are below. Please consider volunteering for one of these worthwhile positions:

 

Committee Chairperson – Make up agendas for committee meetings, announcements for pack meetings and oversee general pack activities. Please see our current Committee Chair, Maureen Montecalvo, for more information.

 

Assistant Cubmaster – Help oversee pack meetings and general support for the pack and Cubmaster.
